This partnership was based on the supply of hydrogen fueling stations, designed and developed by Air Liquide, and on the supply of hydrogen gas itself.

Hydrogen is a promising alternative energy carrier. Used in a fuel cell, hydrogen combined with oxygen from air generates electricity and produces only water as a byproduct. Hydrogen can be extracted from a wide variety of natural resources (natural gas, coal, water or biomass…). Although 95% of hydrogen is produced from natural gas, the diversity of sources from which hydrogen can be obtained guarantees the security of supply.

Hydrogen can therefore constitute a renewable, clean and quiet energy carrier for powering the car of tomorrow.
