Preparing tomorrow [ Return towards  Hydrogen Planet  ]

Air Liquide is now involved in developing, improving and testing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

The Group’s objective is to be ready to supply hydrogen and its implementation technologies in 2015, the date at which it is expected that car manufacturers will market the first hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Air Liquide is oursuing its major innovation effort, throughout the world to support hydrogen. Air Liquide researchers and engineers are making progress on the technologies to produce hydrogen while limiting CO2 emissions. They are reinventing and building the distribution infrastructure to ensure its use in complete safety.

Aside from its innovation efforts, Air Liquide is assuming its world leadership role in enabling the use of hydrogen as energy. The Group has formed and initiated an ambitious program, the H2E, Horizon Hydrogen Energy program, that is bringing together the main actors involved, in France at first.

The H2E program

The Horizon Hydrogen Energy (H2E), supported by the French Department of Industry through the OSEO, will develop and market, for targeted markets, energy solutions based on the fuel cell and hydrogen.
